Get to know more about our faith community
Discover Awaken is for those who are newish to Awaken to learn more about our faith community. Over lunch you will meet the staff and hear Micah share the history, vision, mission and values of Awaken. It is also a great time to ask questions and hear next steps for getting involved.
ENCOUNTER AWAKEN
Get to know others who are new to Awaken
Over three sessions you will share time getting-to-know others and engaging in curious conversations about faith topics of interest. If you are new or have been around for a while, yet still don't feel connected, this introductory experience is for you. We have wonderful hosts in St. Paul's Payne/Phalen neighborhood. This experience is an excellent next step after Discover Awaken.
AFFINITY GROUPS
Connect with others around shared interests and activities
These are groups of people who gather together because they share a similar interest, stage-of-life, or values. A regular commitment to the group is not asked for as is the case with life groups. As you align with a shared affinity, you are welcome to participate in these groups. View the calendar for individual events that are planned for these groups, or you can reach out to the contact person(s).
LIFE GROUPS
Create space outside of Sundays for experiencing and building community
With a life group, we hope that you find a safe place to be authentic in who you are, ask questions, and journey deeper in faith with Jesus at the center. Life groups focus time processing the current sermon series and sharing life together. Our groups meet at different times and are located throughout the Twin Cities. Once you decide to call Awaken your faith community, life groups are a wonderful way to experience belonging.
SERVE
Build relationships through the giving back of your time and talents
Joining a team of volunteers is a great way to get to know others at Awaken. We have several different opportunities available throughout the year, with commitments varying from a few hours per week to an hour or two once a month. Whether you're looking to build relationships, or looking for ways to give back, volunteer groups are a great place to start.
