High school confirmation is a program created to provide high schoolers with more than just a weekly youth group experience. This is not a traditional confirmation program you might find at other churches. It is catered specifically to the heart of our community and our participation in the larger church. It is a unique opportunity for Awaken teenagers in 9th-12th grade to enter into a ten-month spiritual journey of discovery. High schoolers will learn to see ourselves, God, scripture, and the world around us by observing each through the lens of six formational targets -
Listening, Learning, Liturgy, Community, Impact, and Pilgrimage.
Confirmation happens on the 2nd Wednesday night of each month. There are twelve sessions consisting of a kickoff event, seven Wednesday night classes, Ash Wednesday and Good Friday services, a three-day Urban Camino, and a confirmation celebration event.
